Hello and welcome to this eighth Hanker newsletter, the first of the new millennium!

Snakes And Ladders:

Since January 2001, Snakes And Ladders is distributed throughout the country by PHD Canada. The album can therefore be found easily in Canada. In Europe, the album is available through Hellion Records, and serious discussions are underway for wider distribution. You can also purchase the album at various music sites on the Internet (see the Order section for a complete list).

The album is selling well! At the beginning of the year, Snakes And Ladders reached the number 2 position on the Metal Top 20 at the HMV Superstore in Toronto, Canada! More details in the News section.

Show:

A major show with 7 metal bands from the Quebec City area, including Hanker as the headliners, is scheduled for May 25, 2001 at the Aréna de Beaupré. See the Show Dates section for more details.

T-shirts:

Hanker t-shirts are now available at Vision Rock, located at Place Laurier in Ste-Foy, Quebec. The t-shirts cost $ 20 CDN. You can also order it online on the Web site. More details in the Order section.

Multimedia:

The «Sound Bytes» section has been renamed Multimedia. You can still find song extracts from the Hanker albums in MP3 and RealAudio format. You can also find a video extract of Hanker opening for Nightwish on November 26, 2000. Links to MP3.com have also been added, where you can find two full songs.

Main additions to the site:

Here are the main additions to the Hanker Web site since the last newsletter: added six new reviews of Snakes And Ladders under CD Reviews, many additions and changes under Order, the Links section was completely rebuilt, new logos (now available in two formats), banners and two Hanker wallpapers have been added under Download, a new quiz has been added under Quiz, and many other changes.

Once again, many standardisation and navigation improvements were made. Among other things, the font was changed across the entire site. Many additions are coming soon, including an interview!
