Hello all and welcome to this sixth Hanker newsletter. The fall season will be very busy for Hanker with many shows and, of course, the release of the long-awaited Snakes And Ladders album.

The Snakes And Ladders Saga:

The Snakes And Ladders album will soon be available! Metal Disk Records will be distributing it. The launch party will take place during a «5 to 7» on Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at the Liquor Store, Place de la Cité, 2600 Laurier Blvd, Sainte-Foy, Quebec. There will be a listening session of the full album, a buffet and many presentations including one from Metal Disk Records. You are all cordially invited. Admission is free. You can find a map of the location of the Liquor Store at http://www.liquorstorecabaret.com/.

The album will be distributed throughout Canada and will be available November 9th at HMV, Archambault, Freeson Rock and many other stores. It will also be available for online order at HMV.com. Keep an eye on the Order section for upcoming details.

Two excellent reviews of the album have been added to the CD Reviews section. Here's an excerpt that says a lot about the quality of the album:

Hanker shows:

Hanker performed live on Thursday, September 21, 2000 at Le Dagobert in Quebec City, with opening act Forgotten Tales. You can read a review of the show written by René Pinault (in French) in the Gig Review section. Hanker also played in Amqui and Rimouski in mid-October with opening acts Lordz and Dragon Warrior.

Main additions to the site:

Here are the main additions to Hanker's web site since the last newsletter: Two new sections were added, Search is a search form for performing searches on the site's contents, and a biography section in English and French. Addition of a new interview with the German magazine That's Metal under Interviews, a small article by ICI Québec under Articles, a form for sending e-mail under the Contacts section, the first Hanker wallpaper under Download, more online stores selling Hanker albums under Order and many links, especially in section Forums under Links.

Two new tablatures were also added: Head Over Heels (Accept) and Love After Death (Rage). A file explaining the tablatures has also been added under Tabs. A lot of improvements were made to the site, with many more to come!
