I just had the privilege of listening to «Snakes And
Ladders» and I must say that this album is the best Hanker yet. This is Hanker in their purest form. There are eleven songs including one short instrumental piece. «Snakes And
Ladders» is very heavy with a lot more punch and palm muting than the two previous albums with still plenty of melody, Hanker's trademark. The arrival of Denis Cossette on bass marks a definite change as he uses a guitar pick and plays very aggressively, probably due to his past influences. There is never a dull moment over the fifty-five minutes of this absolute killer! Ad Patres kicks off this great album with a speedy yet very melodic song. I really love this album and I always find myself humming several songs like Confidence Man and Hail To You. Snakes And Ladders is a must for every pure Heavy Metal fan the world over. The release of the album is scheduled for some time between Finally, I have added a second Quiz on the Hanker Web site. Give it your best shot and e-mail me your results, should you feel like it.
