| 2007-11-08 | Studio report! Hanker have begun recording their upcoming CD with Jean-François Dagenais (Kataklysm's guitarist and producer). Things are going very well so far and the sound seems very tight and heavy! Drums and bass are now in the can and they are now working on the rhythm guitar tracks. The album should be completed around Christmas and will be released in the spring of 2008. For now, here are some photos taken at JFD Studio by David Faucher.

| 2007-10-01 | Sneak preview of the new CD! I (band's webmaster) just had the immense privilege of hearing Hanker play their entire upcoming CD live in their rehearsal room this week! This fifth studio album is the first one with bassist Laurent Imbeau and drummer Sylvain Trembley. My first thought is that, having been a Hanker fan since their first album in 1994, I can certify that this will be a pure traditional Hanker release. The two new members have really integrated very well with the rest of the band. All the Hanker elements that we dig so much are there; great melodies, dual guitar harmonies, double kicks, Pascal's high screams, heavy riffs, excellent lead guitar breaks and some remarkable twists and turns. Some elements remind me of their first album In Our World. I am really pleased with what I heard; this is going to be a great, solid metal CD. There will be 12 tracks and the entire album will be one hour in length! Hanker will hit the studio at the beginning of November and the album will be released in the first half of 2008. | 2007-08-01 | New manager! Hanker is very proud to announce that Mr René Pineault is now officially the band's new manager. Mr Pineault has worked within the Quebec metal community for several years, and his knowledge will be an excellent asset for Hanker and its team. His past realizations; he has worked with the power metal band Forgotten Tales, and was involved in the organization of many metal concerts in Quebec City. Welcome aboard! |

| 2007-07-29 | Studio entrance postponed Due to a schedule conflict, the band will enter studio during November 2007 instead of August as originally planned. Nevertheless, the new Hanker CD is still scheduled for release at the beginning of 2008 on the Skyscraper Music label. |

Happy with the sound of their latest CD Web Of Faith, the band will work again with producer Jean-François Dagenais (also Kataklysm's guitarist).
