Killing Harmony

Edguy with Hanker and Southern Cross

EDGUY, EDGUY, EDGUY, EDGUY, EDGUY...

...was all that was heard from the mouth of Heavy Metal fans at the Club Soda last night as Edguy put on a flawless show.

Germany's Edguy was supported by two strong acts from Quebec. It is nice to see bands from your city or province, contribute to the beautiful metal scene that the world has to offer.

Southern CrossSouthern Cross was the first opening act putting together a pretty good show considering they only have one 5 song E.P. to choose songs from. This band is very talented and people should go check them out if they like progressive heavy metal.

Hanker, the second band, was more a power metal band. With their own distinctive style, at some times, which is nice because it makes it easier to differentiate them from other metal bands. Some of the guitar riffs used was bravely done as they were so different from what I have ever heard. The crowd accepted these unique riffs with open arms and got really into Hanker's songs.

Hanker Hanker show playlist:
  1. Intro
  2. Inside Me
  3. Empower
  4. Hail To You
  5. Point Of No Return
  6. Let Me Out
  7. Disturbing The Brain
  8. Stigmata
  9. The Search

EdguyEdguy equals speechless, what can be said about these guys. Well, I like to say that unlike American metal bands, these guys are about perfection and quality. They aren't trying to produce CDs really fast so they can make a quick buck with millions of fans. This band looks like they truly love what they are doing, they smile, they laugh, they have fun on stage unlike most American bands when they come up.

Hanker photos with comments:

Pascal Cliche
Pascal is a great frontman and being a veteran of the music scene, I would hope he is great.
Denis Cossette
Denis playing his bass hard and fast just the way I like it.
Patrick Gravel
Great picture of Patrick rocking out. What a coincidence, he has an ADIDAS wristband and Jens from Edguy had a Nike wristband. Well, I don't know if that is much of a coincidence, but hey Nike and Adidas got enough advertising on this site for one day.
Patrick Gravel and Pascal Cliche
Another great rocking picture of Patrick.
Pascal Cliche
Another good picture of Pascal.

And the best picture for last, we have Patrick, Pascal and Denis all rocking out.

Sorry Luc... Drummer pictures are hard to get, since you guys are covered by those huge drum fortresses.
